The inspiration of Steve Mackey, the sensitive virtuosity of Anthony Marwood, and the miraculous musicians of Sydney all combine as one. For me the elegiac, memory-infused music has my good friend, the late Paul Goodchild, playing principle trumpet. This is an added wonder: to hear his tone resurrected with each listening.
